[WK8] - Jason Slavin

Update: All done! Managing a high contrast image without losing all of my detail was quite a challenge. During my search for movie references I came across this place: http://www.darkrealmfox.com/film_reviews/category/blu_ray_screencaps/ Incredible reference for high resolution screens from some really pretty movies. I recommend saving some to your reference library!

  1. Cool! I'm going to design couple character based on your concept if you don't mind. (I don't know how is going to turn out but I'll give a try)

  2. that defensive thing is a great idea..and yah with that flashlight you could make a really scary and dramatic painting. But i think you should have an explanation for why the growth drops the body away from itself in the first place, instead of just keeping it near its body the whole time.

  3. Thanks-

Yeah, I've been trying to think through my design and make sure there'd be a reason for having the host suspended without cover.

  4. These are awesome approach, Jason. Also, try some vertical format thumbnails for your painting to push perspective even more. ALso, refer the lighting from ALIENS or EVENT HORIZON or the MOON. They have great shots where how different material objects react in dramatic lighting situation. Keep up the good work ~!
